A lifetime warranty sounds simple, but the word lifetime only means something when you know who stands behind it and what the written terms say. This guide explains how the Luxe-backed lifetime ceramic coating works, what is included and what you are expected to do as an owner.
The short answer
The lifetime coating is backed by Luxe Detailing Hawaii. It starts at $2,199 for a small car and includes exterior glass and wheel-face coating. Eligibility, registration, maintenance, inspection, exclusions and CARFAX details are reviewed with you in writing before installation.
01 · Who stands behind the coverage
The warranty is backed by Luxe Detailing Hawaii itself, not an unnamed third party. That matters because you know exactly who to contact if a question comes up.
The written warranty is the document that controls your coverage. Website summaries, conversations and this article are helpful context, but the written terms you receive are what count.
02 · What is included in the lifetime package
The lifetime system starts at $2,199 for a sedan or coupe. SUVs and crossovers add $100, and trucks, vans and larger vehicles add $175. Exterior glass coating and wheel-face coating are included, so you do not pay the $75 add-on fees that apply to the 5-year and 8-year systems.
Because both surfaces are already part of the package, the lifetime system is worth comparing directly against a 5-year or 8-year estimate with both add-ons selected. That comparison makes the real difference between the tiers easier to see.
Eligible installations may be reported to CARFAX. That entry is a record that the installation took place; it is not the warranty itself.
03 · What owners should expect to maintain
Lifetime coverage comes with responsibilities. Wash the vehicle safely, avoid harsh methods that can damage the coating, and follow the maintenance and inspection requirements in your written terms.
A coating that is washed carefully will look and behave better for longer than one that is neglected. In practice that means rinsing off salt and sand rather than wiping them, using clean microfiber, and drying the car instead of letting water evaporate on it in the sun.
Keep your invoice, your warranty document and your maintenance records together. If you sell the car or it needs bodywork, contact Luxe so the impact on coverage can be reviewed.
04 · Why the confirmation call happens before service
Ceramic coating bookings are confirmed by phone before installation. The call is the moment to make sure the terms fit your situation. Use it to go through this checklist:
- Review the written warranty terms, including exclusions.
- Understand the maintenance and inspection requirements.
- Confirm which surfaces are included.
- Ask whether your installation is eligible for CARFAX reporting.
- Plan where you will keep your records.
You can also review the website and booking terms ahead of time. To explore the lifetime option alongside the other systems, visit the ceramic coating page or build your coating estimate.
